Setting up PostScript printing with Windows NT 4.0 or
Windows 2000/XP
To set up the Fiery as a PostScript printer, you must install the PostScript printer driver
for Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000/XP and the corresponding printer description
files. You must also configure the print connection between the computer and the
Fiery. If you are printing over a network, you must configure a network connection.
The following procedures describe the installation of a local printer. Adding a printer
to a local system requires that you log in to your local Windows NT 4.0 computer
(not the network server domain) and that you are a member of the Administrators
group. The procedure for adding a network printer is similar to adding a port. See
“Completing the Windows NT 4.0 TCP/IP and LPR connection”
If you are printing using SMB on Windows NT 4.0, you can connect to the Fiery and
install the printer drivers in a single procedure; see
.
