8. INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER MOWING

Working procedure

Place the machine as close as possible to the mains power socket. Work in the direction
away from the mains power socket. After every turn place the cable on the opposite, already
mowed side (see pic. 14)
Be especially careful when changing the direction of travel on slopes.

Collector box

Empty the collection box as soon as clippings start to be left on the ground. Before removing
the collection box turn off the motor and wait until the blades come to a stop.
When removing the collection box, use one hand to lift the expulsion opening fl ap and the
other to remove the collection box. According to safety regulations the expulsion opening fl ap
will snap shut the rear expulsion opening when the collection box is removed. If during this,
grass clippings remain in the opening, it is useful to move the lawnmower approximately 1 m
back to make starting the motor easier.
Do not remove grass clippings from the body of the lawnmower by hand or foot, use
appropriate aids such as a brush or sweeper.
To ensure perfect collection of lawn clippings, it is necessary for the collection box to be clean
from the inside.
Only attach the collection box if the motor and blades are still.
Use one hand to lift the expulsion canal fl ap and with the other hand hold the box by the
handle and hang it from above.

9. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

Maintenance

Check whether the device is not showing signs of wear.
Only perform maintenance and cleaning of the lawnmower and the removal of protective
devices if the motor is off and the lawnmower is disconnected from the mains.
Taking regular care of the lawnmower ensures not only a long lifetime and performance, but
also helps to make mowing lawns better and easier.
Before use always visually inspect whether the mowing blades, fastening pins and also
the entire mowing unit are worn or damaged. To ensure that the lawnmower always remains
balanced, always replace the entire set of the worn or damaged mowing tools.
All nuts, pins and screws must be fi rmly tightened and the entire device must be in safe
working order.
Check that all protective devices are attached and work perfectly.
