Observe the following instructions:

► To ensure constant air circulation, always

keep the cooling air openings in the housing

clean and free of blockages.

► Use an extractor on all openings of the pow

er tool to remove wood chips and splinters.

► The pendulum guard must always be able to

move freely and close independently. Al

ways keep the area around the pendulum

guard clean. Clear from dust and chippings

by blowing out with compressed air or using

a brush.

11 Accessories

Use only original Festool accessories and

Festool consumable material intended for this

machine. These components are designed spe

cifically for this machine. Using accessories

and consumable material from other suppliers

will most likely affect the quality of your results

and limit warranty claims. Machine wear or

your own personal workload may increase de

pending on the application. Protect yourself and

your machine, and preserve your warranty

claims by always using original Festool acces

sories and Festool consumable material!

The order numbers of the accessories and tools

can be found in the Festool catalogue or on the

Internet under "www.festoolusa.com".

In addition to the accessories described,

Festool also provides a comprehensive range of

system accessories that allow you to use your

saw more effectively and in diverse applica

tions, e.g.:

• Parallel stop, extension table PA-HKC 55

• Kickback stop FS-RSP

• Parallel stop FS-PA and guide extension

FS-PA-VL

• Side-mounted cover, false joint ABSA-TS

11.1 Saw blades, other accessories

In order to saw different materials quickly and

cleanly, Festool offers saw blades for all appli

cations that are specially designed for your

Festool portable circular saw.

11.2 Guide rail

The guide rail enables you to make clean, accu

rate cuts while simultaneously protecting the

surface of the workpiece from damage.

In conjunction with the extensive range of ac

cessories, exact angled cuts, mitre cuts and fit

ting work can be completed with the guide sys

tem. The option of attaching the guide rail se

curely using clamps

[8-7]

 ensures safer work

ing conditions.
► Adjust the guide play between the saw table

and the guide rail using the two adjustable

jaws

[8-8]

.

The splinterguard [8-5] requires breaking in

before first usage:

► Position saw at the very end of the guide

rail, so that the guide plate is level.

► Swivel saw to 0° position and set to maxi

mum cutting depth.

► Switch on saw.

► Slowly push saw along the entire length of

the rail.

The edge of the splinterguard now corresponds

exactly to the cutting edge.

11.3 Cross cutting guide rail

The cross cutting guide rail is designed for saw

ing wood and panel materials.

It enables precise and clean cuts, in particular

angled cuts can be performed simply and with

repeat accuracy. The saw automatically moves

back to the initial position after the sawing

process.

Observe the instructions in the operating man

ual for the FSK cross cutting guide rail
11.4 SYSTAINER
Systainer

Many Festool products are shipped in a unique

system container, called "Systainer". This pro

vides protection and storage for the tool and ac

cessories. The Systainers are stackable and

can be interlocked together. They also can be

interlocked atop Festool CT dust extractors.

To open the Systainer

Turn the T-loc

[SYS-b-1]

 to this posi

tion.

To lock the Systainer

Turn the T-loc

[SYS-b-1]

 to this posi

tion.

To connect two Systainers

Place one Systainer on the top of the other

(Fig.

[SYS-a]

).

Turn the T-loc

[SYS-b-1]

 to one of

this positions (Fig.

[Sys-b]

).

The Systainers are connected and locked.
