Pneumatic installation

Remove the fastening elements from the supply ports.

Connect the tubing of the supply port

Electrical installation
Warning

Use only power units which guarantee reliable electrical isolation of the
operating voltage as per IEC/DIN EN 60204−1. Observe also the general
requirements for PELV power circuits as per IEC/DIN EN 60204−1.
Please note
Long signal cables reduce the immunity to interference.

Make sure that the signal cable is not longer than 10 m.

Check which valve variant you have using the rating plate:
Designation on the rating plate
VPPM−...−V1... VPPM−...−A4...

Check the use of the following options on the VPPM−...:
Measurement of the actual value of voltage or current.

Make sure that the cable installation is
neither squashed, bent nor stretched:

Use the pre−assembled plug socket with
cable from Festo (see chapter 9 Acces
sories"). This ensures that the specified
protection class IP65 and EMC are ful
filled.

If a screened cable is used, earth the insulation at the cable end which is
farther away from the VPPM.
