5.3.3

High−current output module CPX−8DA−H

The  high−current  output  module  CPX−8DA−H  provides  digital
outputs  in  the  valve  terminal  for  connecting  current−consum
ing  devices  with  high  current  consumption  (e.g.  hydraulic
valves).

Note

Observe  the  permitted  characteristic  connection  values  in
the  technical  specifications  and  the  temperature  de
pendency  of  the  maximum  load  current  as  shown  in
Fig.A/3,  in  order  to  avoid  overheating  and  as  a  result,
damage  to  the  connections  and  the  electronic  module.

Pay attention to the following when planning:

·

Maximum  current  consumption  of  2.1A  per  output/chan
nel  or  per  output  socket  when  the  plug/cable  is  assigned
twice  and  maximum  current  consumption  of  8.4A  for  the
complete  module.

·

Note the instructions/footnotes for the relevant sub−base.

·

Note the instructions on contact loading for the relevant
sub−base.

·

Use electric conductors with suitable diameter.

·

Avoid long distances between the load and the high−cur
rent output.

Protection against

In addition to a (reversible) electronic short circuit protection

short circuit

the  output  module  also  possesses  an    (irreversible)  fuse  (fus
ible  cutout)  in  case  the  electronic  short  circuit  protection
device  fails.

Note

After the fusible cutout has functioned, the high−current
output module must be replaced.
