5. Design and function

The function of the Handling station is

to determine the material characteristics of a workpiece,

to remove workpieces from a receptacle,

•

to deposit the workpieces on the 'metallic/red' slide or the 'black' slide or

to pass on the workpieces to a subsequent station.
