The function of the Pick&Place station is

•

to transport workpieces (housings),

to stop workpieces (housings)

to insert workpiece inserts

•

to separate out complete workpieces (housing and insert)

Note

The workpiece inserts „Clock“, „Thermometer“ and „Hygrometer“ fits

only

to the workpiece

7.2

The Pick&Place module

The Pick&Place module is a universal, 2-axis handling
device. The module consists of high-precision slide
units. The end positions of the slides are sensed by
proximity switches. The arrangement of the proximity
switches, as well as mounting position and height,
can be adjusted.

The workpieces are gripped by a bellows suction cup.
A vacuum filter is attached directly to the bellows
suction cup, which ensures that no dirt particles can
infiltrate the vacuum generator. A pressure switch
indicates reliable gripping of the workpieces.

The force of the vertical slide unit (Z-axis) can be
adjusted by means of a pressure regulator.

The module is supplied complete with slide units,
vacuum generator, vacuum filter, bellows suction cup,
pressure switch, valve terminal, pressure regulator
and electrical interface.

Note

In another version, a parallel gripper is used
instead of the bellows suction cup. The
workpieces are gripped by a parallel gripper.
A proximity sensor detects, if the gripper is
closed.
