4.1.2 Address  assignment  of  the  valve  terminal

The  address  assignment  of  the  outputs  of  a  multifunctional
valve  terminal  depends  on  the  equipment  fitted  on  the  valve
terminal.  A  distinction  is  made  between  the  following  equip
ment  fitted:

valves  and  digital  I/O  modules.

only  valves.

only  digital  I/O  modules.

The  basic  rules  described  below  apply  to  the  address  assign
ment  of  these  fitting  variants.  A  detailed  example  is  given
after  each  of  these  basic  rules.

Please  note

If  two  addresses  are  assigned  for  one  valve  location,  the
following  assignment  applies:

 lower−value  address:

pilot  solenoid  14

 higher−value  address:

pilot  solenoid  12

Information  on  reserving  addresses  of  the  valves  on  the  type
04−B  valve  terminal  can  be  found  in  the  Pneumatics  manual
for  type  04−B.
