Protecting the end positions against uncontrolled overrunning:

Check whether proximity switches are necessary (hardware limit switches).
If proximity sensors are used as proximity switches:

Preferably use proximity switches with normally−closed function.
These will protect a EGC with a fractured proximity switch cable against over
running the end position.
If proximity sensors are used as reference switches:

Use the proximity switches in accordance with the input of the controller being
used.

Use inductive proximity switches with switch lug (S):

Avoid external influence caused by magnetic or ferrite parts in the vicinity of
the proximity switches. (min. 10mm clearance to slot nuts).
