Function and application
The slides of the guide axis EGC−...−FA−... support a load so that it can move. Owing
to the coupling with a drive axis (e.g. EGC−...−BS/TB−KF−...), the slide

moves
forwards and backwards. Extended or additional slides on the guide axis enable
loading with higher moments and forces.
The slide is bearing mounted. The reference position of the slide can be detected
using proximity switches in the slots

.
The intended use of the EGC−...−FA−... guide
axis is to form the basis of boom or gantry
systems using an EGC−...−BS/TB−KF−... drive
axis and a passive EGC−...−FA−... guide axis.
It is approved for slide operating mode.

Note
Malfunctions will occur if the device is not used correctly.
S
Make sure that the specifications in this chapter are always observed.
S
Compare the maximum values specified in these operating instructions with
those of your actual application (e.g.forces, torques, temperatures, masses,
speeds).
The product can only be operated in compliance with the relevant safety re
gulations if the maximum loading limits are observed.
