6 MACHINE SAFETY DEVICES
6.1 Grounding
In case of malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance for the
electrical current that reduces the danger of electrical shock. The machine is equipped with a
power cord with ground conductor. The plug must be connected by a qualified electrician and
then plugged into an appropriate outlet and installed on the ground according to the
regulations.
On the base of the machine there is a screw for the connection of the grounding; on the same
there is a recognition plate.

Never change the cord provided for any reason.
Electric Shock
Incorrectly connecting the conductor to the tool's grounding system can cause the risk of
electric shock.
If you do not understand the instructions for grounding or if you doubt the exact
grounding of the machine, check with a qualified electrician.
Repair or replace damaged or worn cables immediately.
