Changing picture settings
The Picture Settings menu enables you to
make changes to the contrast and
brightness, make the display sharper, and
set the phase, clock, and horizontal or
vertical position of the display in PC mode
The following options are available from the Picture menu:
The OSD shown is for TV mode.
Other modes have different options.
Option
Function
Brightness
Adjusts the levels of light on your screen. It should be used in conjunction
with the Contrast option.
Contrast
Adjusts the difference between the dark and light levels on your display. It
should be used in conjunction with the Brightness option.
Colour
Changes the dominant color intensity on your screen. Adjust this setting
until the colours on the screen (for example, flesh tones) look natural.
Tint
Changes the colour balance. Adjust this setting so that the colours (for
example, flesh tones) on the screen are neither too green or too magenta.
Sharpness
Adjusts the sharpness levels on your screen.
Video Mode
Stores Picture settings. The following options are available:
Soft: loads picture settings that result in softer colours and less sharp images.
User: loads the most recent user defined settings.
Preset: loads factory default settings.
H Position
(PC only)
Adjusts the horizontal position of the display.
V Position
(PC only)
Adjusts the vertical position of the display.
Phase
(PC only)
Adjusts the phase for the display.
Clock
(PC only)
Adjusts the clock frequency for the display.
Auto
(PC only)
Adjusts the display automatically.
