Calibration Using G.A.S Software
The electrochemical sensors with the F-950
will naturally drift over time. To compensate for
this drift, a sensitivity correction is
automatically applied in the firmware.
However, the best way to ensure that your
instrument is reading accurately is to perform
regular calibrations. Full set span calibrations
should take place every three months for the
C
2
H
4
sensor, annually for the CO
2
sensor and
bi-annually for the O
2
sensor. Always set zero
before setting span. If you have not already
done so, download the Gas Analysis Software
(G.A.S.).exe package setup software from
https://felixinstruments.com/support/F-
950/software/
and install it on your computer.

gases, we suggest a span gas of 100 ppm
C
2
H
4
and a verification gas of 75 ppm C
2
H
4
, for
CO
2
calibration standard gases, we suggest
95% CO
2
for the set span procedure and a
verification gas at a lower value, like 16%. For
O
2
Calibration standard gases, we suggest
50% O
2
for the set span procedure and a
verification using ambient air (20.9% O
2
).
The F-950 allows the user flexibility with
calibrating, there are two methods for
calibrating: utilizing the computer-free
calibration method through on-device
adjustments under Setup > Calibration on the
F-950,
OR
by using the computer software
program: G.A.S. (Gas Analysis Software).
