APPLICATIONS
You may use this product for driving screw with screw
driver bits.
CHARGING SCREW DRIVER (Fig. 1)
This tool has been shipped in low charge condition to prevent
possible problems. Therefore, you should charge it overnight
prior to use.
Note: Batteries will not reach full charge the fi rst time
they are charged. Allow several cycles (driving followed by
recharging) for them to become fully charged.
Note: Only use the charger provided.
■ Connect charger to the tool by inserting charger plug into
input jack. Make sure the power supply is normal household
voltage, 0V, 0Hz, AC only.
■ Connect charger to power supply.
■ The charge indicator light (LED) will light up when charger
is properly connected power supply.
■ After normal usage, a minimum charge time of 3-5 hours is
required to recharge a completely discharged battery.
■ The charger housing and the tool handle will become
slightly warm to the touch while charging.
This is normal and does not indicate a problem.
■ DO NOT operate driver while it is connected to the charger.
The driving ability will not increase.
■ DO NOT place charger in an area of extreme heat of cold.
It works best at normal room temperature.
STICK/PISTOL SELECTION (SDF4.8R)
■ To press selection button at pivot location.
■ Change pistol/stick position by rotating the handle.
ADJUSTING TORQUE (SDF4.8R)
There are twelve torque indicator settings located on the front
of the screwdriver.
■ Rotate adjustment ring to desired setting, aligning num ber
on adjustment ring with arrow on housing.
1 - 2 For driving small screws
3 - 4 For driving screws into soft material
5 - 7 For driving screws into soft and hard materials
8 - 9 For driving screws into hard wood
SWITCH ( FORWARD/REVERSE)
■ To drive for forward motion, depress the upper part of
switch trigger.
■ To drive for reverse motion, depress the lower part of
switch trigger.
LED WORKLIGHT (SDF3.6R)
The screwdriver has a built-in LED worklight. This feature
is convenient when working in close or tight areas where
additional light is needed. Whenever the switch trigger is
depressed, the LED worklight will illuminate.
Note: During normal operation, if the LED worklight will not
illuminate, charge the screwdriver.
The LED worklight will be off during Jam and Stall status.
