10.2 Mounting under a desktop
For the mounting under a desktop or a mounting plate, the mounting holes (max. 4,5mm
Ø
) must
be drilled. The position of the mounting holes are suggested via 1,5mm
Ø
drill holes in the housing
backside of the antenna (see figure 1).
Drill holes on a different place can destroy the electronic parts!
1. At the marked mounting holes (see :
Figure 1), it is possible to drill up to 6
drill holes by using a 4,5mm
Ø
metal
drill. In normal cases, 4 drill holes
should be sufficient. The drill holes
must be executed from the back side
(metal plate) with a breakthrough to the
acrylic glass plate on the front side.
2. By using 3-4mm
Ø
wood screws, the
antenna can be fixed at the rear side of
the desktop. The length of the screws
must be dimensioned according to the
thickness of the desktop plate, to avoid
damage on the surface of the desk top.
Recommended maximum screw length
= (Desktop thickness - 5mm) + 27mm.
3. The antenna acrylic glass plate must
be orientated upwards. The desktop
must not consist of metal or any other
electrically conductive material.
A screwdriver may be used to fix the
antenna under the desktop plate with 4
screws.
