Chapter 5: Mounting the Siren and Control Pad

e-Q2B Siren System

To mount the siren amplifier in the vehicle:

Use the base of the siren amplifier as a template to mark the centers of the four mounting holes

(Figure 5.1).

Tap and drill the center of the four mounting holes.

Center the slots in the base of the siren amplifier over the drilled holes and secure it with the installer-

supplied #10-32 mounting hardware.

Mounting the Standard Control Head

LOCATING OPERATOR CONTROLS—Locate the control head so the vehicle can

be operated safely under all driving conditions. Failure to heed this caution could

result in driver distraction or driver erro5 while operating the vehicle.

For directions on mounting the flush-mount control head, see page 39. The standard control head comes

with two mounting brackets and mounting hardware.
