
6.7.2 Drain the sludge from the fuel tank
WARNING!
Fire hazard!
When working on the fuel system do not use open
fire, do not smoke, do not spill any fuel.
WARNING!
Health hazard!
Do not inhale any fuel fumes.
ENVIRONMENT!
Any fuel must be caught and disposed of in an
environmentally friendly manner.
For this work the fuel tank should contain only a
little quantity of fuel.
Fig. 50 underneath the fuel tank,
drain off fuel and catch it.
Once all fuel has run out screw the oil drain plug back in with
a new seal ring.
After the tank has been driven empty the mechan-
ical oil pressure monitoring system must be acti-
vated (see chapter "Actuating the oil pressure
monitoring system").
