Track History Length

Every time a new latitude and longitude position is received by the system, the vessel's position is updated
on the chart, and a line is drawn between consecutive positions that are close together. The number of
seconds of most recent locations noted is defined by the Track History Length setting. A setting of 0 removes
all history markings from the chart.

North Up/Heading Up

If this option is selected, the chart will be oriented with North facing up. Otherwise, the chart will be oriented
with heading facing up.

Presentation Detail

The Presentation Detail drop-down menu determines which presentation parameters are displayed as
overlays on top of the chart. Successive levels of presentation increase the number of elements shown.

Open C-MAP Chart Manager

Opens the C-MAP chart manager to change the database in view.

C-MAP Chart Manager

Used to add or remove C-MAP chart databases on the system. To add a database to the system, use the
“Search Automatically” button to locate and register the database. When prompted, save this database to
the hard drive. The recommended location is

C:\cmap_databases

.

Important

Changes in this dialog require a restart to SonaSoft™.

Important

For a database to be loaded automatically on SonaSoft™ startup, it must be set as the default
in the Chart Manager.

If licenses have been purchased for this database, use the Licenses tab in the Chart Manager to unlock
the purchased areas. Please refer to documentation from C-MAP for more information about using their
licenses.
