6.4 The Scanner menu
Start Scan: Starts a new scan, if a connection to the
scanner has been established and the scanner is
ready.
Stop Scan: Stops the scanner during a scan. There
might be a short delay till the scanner stops scanning.
Scan Parameter: Opens the Scanner Parameter
dialog.
Administration: Offers functions for administration of
the scanner.
Shutdown Scanner: Shuts down the scanner (see
chapter 5).
About...: Displays the version of the FARO Scanner
Control.
Recharging your prepaid account.
Prepaid Manager: Opens the dialog box to
send a prepaid key to the scanner. If the key is
valid, and the scanner is a prepaid scanner, the
number of remaining scans will be incremented.
You can check the number of remaining scans
in the Scanner Parameter – Prepaid Account
information (see chapter 6.3.1.8)
