6.
CNC
The BCSD CAN system consists of an 8055i CNC and a BCSD drive system via
CAN.
The connection to the BCSD drive system depends on a software option called · BCSD
DRIVE SYSTEM ·.
If any of the CAN axes defined in a CNC is BCSD and the CNC does not carry this
option, on power-up it will issue the error message · Software option BCSD DRIVE
SYSTEM not activated ·.
The adjustment and backup/restore procedures may be done in two ways, from the
CNC or through the WinBCSD program using a Windows-based PC that is
connected to the BCSD drive via RS-485.
6.1. Access to Variables from the Oscilloscope of the CNC
The oscilloscope of the
CNC
gives access to the following variables of the
BCSD
drive.
6.2. Access to the Variables from the CNC
The variables will be identified at the
CNC
with the
SERCOS
number:
Read-only variables
Write variables
All the parameters of the drive may be read and written using the SVAR variable.
Example
P100=SVARn SERCOS-ID where n indicates the axis. The
SERCOS
identifier
appears on the
CNC
screen for the machine parameters of the drive.
