Owners Manual

The information furnished in this manual does not include all of the details of design or

variations of the equipment, nor does it cover every possible situation that may arise during

installation, operation or maintenance. This manual will familiarize you with features of your

ampliﬁ er so we suggest you take time to read through it before operating your system to get

the most out of your ampliﬁ er.

For your safety read the sections on important precau-

tions, input, output and power connections.

Keep this manual for future reference.

Each Face Audio® ampliﬁ er is inspected before leaving the factory and should arrive dam-

age-free. However, in the event damage did occur in transit notify the shipping company and

point-of-purchase immediately. Be sure to save the carton and all packing material for any

future shipping needs as they are specially designed to protect the ampliﬁ er during transit.

Safety Precautions

Do’s

• Keep this owner’s manual for future reference.

• Take careful notice of all markings on the chassis.

• Take care not to block blower intake or exhaust ports.

• Always operate the ampliﬁ er with the ground wire intact.

• Ensure the ampliﬁ er is always powered by an electrical system with a ground.

• Before powering the ampliﬁ er verify the voltage of the power source matches

its rated voltage.

• Avoid operating the ampliﬁ er on surfaces which may interfere with normal

ﬂ ow of air around it, such as a carpeted ﬂ oor, sofa, bed or other similar

non-smooth surfaces.

Precautions & Warnings

The exclamation point triangle is used to

alert the user to important operating or

maintenance instructions.

The lightning bolt triangle is used to alert

the user to risk of electric shock

WARNING! To reduce the risk of electric

shock, do not expose this equipment to

rain or moisture!

To prevent electric shock do not remove

cover or back. No user serviceable parts

inside.

CAUTION!

Do not locate sensitive high-gain equipment

such as preampliﬁ ers or tape decks directly above or below

the unit. Because this ampliﬁ er has a high power density,

it has a strong magnetic ﬁ eld, which can induce hum into

unshielded devices that are located nearby. The ﬁ eld is

strongest just above and below the unit. If an equipment

rack is used, we recommend locating the ampliﬁ er(s) in the

bottom of the rack and the preampliﬁ er or other sensitive

equipment at the top.
