2.9 Troubleshooting
Symptom Cause Solution
Flame effect does not start The plug is not in the wall
socket.
Switch ”A” is in ´ON´ position,
but switch “B” has not been
pressed.
Water level is low.
Plug on collection reservoir is
not connected properly (See
Fig.9)
Put the plug in the wall socket.
Press switch “B”.(See Fig.2)
When the switch is ´ON´
Fill water tank.
Check the connection within the appliance (See Fig.9)
The flame effect is too low. The flame effect button “C” is
switched low (See Fig.2)
The water level in the
collection reservoir is too high,
because the drawer was
opened several times, the
water tank was removed
several times or the fireplace
was moved.
The metal discs in the
collection reservoir are dirty.
(See Fig.14)
Turn the flame effect button “C” up. (See chapter 2.5.2)
When the water level in the collection reservoir is higher
than 40mm, the reservoir should be emptied in the sink.
Clean the metal discs with the supplied brush. (See
chapter 2.8.2)
Unpleasant smell during use Dirty or old water.
Unfiltered tap water has been
used.
Clean the unit as described in chapter 2.8
Only use filtered tap water.
The flame effect gives off
too much smoke
The flame effect button “C” is
too high
Turn the flame effect button “C” down (See chapter
2.5.2)
Turn slowly until the desired effect has been reached.
Turn the button a quarter to the right, and give the smoke
generator some time to adjust.
The lights are not burning
and there is no smoke visible
Water tank is empty
Appliance has not been
connected properly
Appliance is switched off.
Fill the water tank (See chapter 2.7.2).

Put switch “A” in the “ON” position and/or
press switch “B” once until one beep can be heard.
Condensation on the glass. The glass surface is cold. Turn the flame effect down during this process.
Scale on the glass. Unfiltered water was used Use filtered water.
