Overview: Upgrading Software

You can remotely upgrade the F-Secure Anti-Virus software already
installed on hosts by using the installation editor.The Installation Editor
creates policy-based installation tasks that each host in the target domain
will carry out after the next policy update.

8.1.1

Using the Installation Editor

The Installation Editor can be used only on those hosts that already have
F-Secure Management Agent installed.

To access the Installation Editor, open the

Installation

tab. The

installation packages available are listed in the installation editor in
the lower half of this tab.

You can select the products and product versions to be installed on
the currently selected host or policy domain by clicking the down
arrow in the

Version to install column

.

The Installation Editor contains the following information about the
products that are installed on your target policy domain or host:

It is also possible to upgrade F-Secure Client Security by using
any other installation scheme explained in

Product Name

Name of the product, which is either installed
on a host or domain, or which can be installed
with an available installation package.
