This can only be done and should only be done only in case of light wind.

Simultaneously pull on the two back lines or on the «handbrake». The kite over-sheeted this way will

descend in the window until it reaches the ground. Above all, do not release the back lines for as long

as the kite is not completely landed.

Your kite is on the leading edge.

Grasp the back lines at the level of the floats and pull vigorously on both to force the kite to take off

backwards. Then release one of the back lines to rotate it and get it back to forward.

This method is not recommended since it can be hazardous in case of bad apprehension

of the wind conditions.

When the wind is light enough, you can launch directly in the window. For this, position your per-

pendicular to the wind with lines running directly into the direction of the wind. To take off, pull on

the front lines by taking a few paces backwards.

When you return to the shore, choose a clear area to land your kite. The kite should be landed like it

was launched : at the edge of the window. Ask another kitesurfer to catch your kite by the wingtip as

the kite comes close to the ground. Do not ever catch your kite by the bridle or at the centre of the

kite. For your safety and the safety of others, choose a competent person to help you land your kite.

Your kite is on the trailing edge.

If the wind is strong enough, release the bar, and the kite will re-launch automatically.

If the wind is fairly low, pull vigorously on the front lines to launch the kite.
