Operating Safety
• This product should only be used by adults. It is not intended for use by
children.
• Disconnect the charger from AC power before connecting or disconnecting
the charger from the battery.
• If removing battery from vehicle to charge, remove the grounded terminal
from battery first. All vehicle accessories should be off to prevent an arc.
• Only charge batteries in a well-ventilated area. Dispel accumulated gases
using a piece of cardboard or fan. Do not use petal objects to dispel accumu-
lated gases.
• Read all instructions and precautions from battery manufacturer regarding fill
levels, charge rates, and cell cap removal.
• Add distilled water to each battery cell until electrolyte reaches the manufac-
turer’s specified levels. Do not overfill.
If using an extension cord:
- Cord should be industrial grade / heavy duty UL-approved and grounded.
- Do not use damaged or frayed cords, or cords with bent or damaged prongs.
- Connect the extension cord to the charger first, then connect the extension
cord to into a 120 VAC Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt (GFCI) protected outlet.
- When charging is complete, remove the extension cord from the outlet
before unplugging the charger.
Applications: This multi-step car battery charger is designed to charge or retain
the charge of 6V and 12V lead batteries. This may include AGM-Ca/Ca-GEL-
MF-VRLA with electrolyte solution or gel. The charger uses our proprietary
“Auto-Sense” technology to determine battery voltage a type.
