Description of components
•
Pressure Tank
8bar Pressure tank to store the propane-buthane gas.
•
Main nozzle
Here, the gas is ejected with 8bars in a vertical direction.
•
Pilotflame and electrical ignition
The electrical ignition provides the high voltage spark, that ignites the gas of the pilot flame. When
the device is switched on, no one may touch the ignition electrodes, or any part of the safety guard.
•
Pressure readout
The pressure is also monitored with a processor. It shows the actual pressure currently in the tank.
Small differences are possible in the display.
•
Usage of the GX3 Power Flame
•
General information for usage
•
Usage of Campinggas (Propane-Buthane mix)
The general safety precautions for the usage of gas, as well as the directions given by the safety data
sheet of the used gas are to be adhered. Generally, propane is heavier than air, so it shouldn't be
used in non ventilated rooms, in ground depressions (deeper than 30cm) or near waste runways.
Especially near cellars, or ground depressions, an ignitable gas-air mix can develop. To quench, only
use CO²- extinguishers.
•
Positioning the system
The flame projectors may only be used outdoors. For the safety distances, the following is true:
Generally, the flame projector must have enough distance to all living beings and objects, so that
they may not be harmed or damaged by the usage of the flame projector. The manufacturer
recommends a distance of 5meters around, and 20meters in height to all objects and persons.
However, the distances provided by any local laws or safety personnel take priority. Please take heed
of the wind direction during the positioning.
•
Connecting the nitrogen (Inert gas)
The Inert gas (Nitrogen) should be proofed with a 10bar pressure regulator.
•
Connecting the gas bottle
The gas bottles should be placed on even, solid ground, and be proofed against tipping over.
Furthermore, the gas bottles should be placed upside down, so the gas will be taken in liquid form.
The gas hose should first be connected to the gasprojector, and then with gas bottle. Before
connecting the gas bottle, the stopcock of the projector must be shut.
It is recommended to test the system for any leaks, using a leak tightness spray.
The gas bottle connector is a standard Euro-connector, with a 30mm wrench width. Please note that
