Operation
After Operation
General Safety
• Park machine on level ground, set parking brake
(if equipped), stop engine, and disconnect spark
plug wire. Wait for all moving parts to stop
before leaving the operator’s position. Allow
the machine to cool before servicing, adjusting,
fueling, cleaning, or storing.
• Clean grass, leaves, excessive grease or oil, and
other debris from the mower deck, muffler, drives,
grass catcher, and engine area to help prevent
fires.
• Close the fuel shut-off valve before storing or
transporting the machine.
Transporting the Machine
• Use extreme care when loading and unloading the
machine into a trailer or truck.
• Use full width ramps for loading the machine into
a trailer or truck.
• Tie the machine down securely using straps,
chains, cable or ropes. If possible both front and
rear straps should be directed down and outward
from the machine.
• Be sure the fuel shut-off valve is closed during
transport.
