Fitting the VEX to
the building
structure
• EXHAUSTO recommends that the positioning, building height and
surroundings should be examined to ascertain if the VEX unit
needs to be fitted to the building structure to prevent strong
winds detaching the unit.
If the VEX unit is fitted to the building structure, this must be carried out in accordance
with the Project Manager’s specifications.
Avoid condensa-
tion
Condensation may form in an outdoor unit when it is switched off and
air from the building can flow into the unit.
The following is recommended:
Installation of VEX
Remove the screws from the cover and lift off the cover. The automation box, including
isolation switch and VEX guide, is located under the cover

supply air damper and an extract air damper.
