Preventive maintenance work (wear parts)
WARNING
Unexpected startup during maintenance work, injuries possible.
Always remove the battery before performing cleaning or preventive and corrective maintenance
work
For preventive maintenance work, see also operating instructions (Manual), chapters 6.2 to 6.5.
4.1
Re-greasing the tool
To ensure optimal stability it is recommended that the tool be re-greased regularly.
►
Remove battery from tool.
►
Loosen two cylinder head screws ((# 124) and remove
the front cover ((# 253).
►
Loosen three cylinder head screws (Torx) ((# 124) and
carefully remove clincher housing with guide plate.
– The jaw mechanism, which is only held in position
by grease, is now open for re-greasing.
►
Spray all joints and sliding points at the lubrication
points (
●
) with high-pressure resistant adhesive lubri-
cating oil spray (e.g. Würth HHS 2000)
►
Fitting is performed in reverse order.
4.2
Cleaning/replacing the tension wheel
Dismantling
►
Remove battery from tool.
►
Loosen two cylinder head screws (# 124).
►
Loosen cylinder head screw Torx (# 95) and remove
side cover (# 256) and strap guide (# 258).
►
Loosen two cylinder head screw (# 124) and carefully
pull the support plate off the expansion shaft.
►
Carefully pull out the spacer disk (# 117) and the tensi-
on wheel (# 116).
– The rear shim remains on the expansion shaft.
WARNING
Wear eye protection when cleaning
with
compressed
air!
►
Clean tension wheel (# 116) with compressed air.
►
In the case of heavy soiling of the toothing: Carefully
clean tension wheel with wire brush.
►
Check tension wheel for worn teeth. If teeth are worn,
replace tension wheel.
Attention
The tension wheel must not be cleaned while it is rotating. Risk of tooth breakage!
Fitting
►
Fitting is performed in reverse order. Observe the installation direction of the tension wheel, see arrow on the
outside of the tension wheel.
►
Lightly lubricate the inner diameter of the tension wheel with universal grease (e.g. Klüber grease GBU Y 131,
Microlube).
