7 TRANSPORTING THE ADVANTAGE RECLINER
WARNING: This wheelchair does not offer seating or occupant restraint equivalent to
the seat provided in a motor vehicle! To increase your safety while traveling in a motor
vehicle, always transfer to the vehicle seat and use the restraint provided by the vehicle
manufacturer.
PREPARATION FOR TRANSPORT / FOLDING THE RECLINER
REMOVING THE SPREADER BAR (SEE PICTURES BELOW)

1. Unscrew knob from right spreader bar attachment rod as shown at above left; remove knob.
2. Lift spreader bar gently from right spreader bar attachment rod and pull it back a little, free of
spreader bar, as shown at above center.
3. Allow spreader bar to rotate and drop to the left, as shown at above right.
Info: Retain all components for future use.
REMOVING THE HEADREST (SEE PICTURES BELOW)
Slide the Removable Headrest tubes upward from the Backpost tubes as shown above.
