DESIGNED TO PERFECTION
The installation of a safety valve for opening and closing the gas supply is a compulsory requirement. Fit the
safety valve between the gas connecting line to the appropriate room and the appliance. Ensure unhindered
access to the valve.
After connecting the gas line, check all connections for gas leaks using soapy water.
Once fully connected, switch the appliance on as described in this manual. Light all burners and check that
the flames remain stable at both the high and low settings.
GAS CONVERSION
If the appliance is not already set up for the existing gas type, the appliance must be converted (see the rating
label for details). A gas conversion can only be done by an authorised professional in accordance to the
applicable regulations. In order to convert the appliance for use with another gas, the injectors must be
replaced and the low flame and primary air may need to be adjusted. The following steps should be
followed:
Replacing the injectors (hobs)
a)
Remove the burner caps (A) and burners (B) from the
burner base (C).
b)
Remove the injector (D) and replace it with the
appropriate injector for the new type of gas (this is
listed on the rating label).
c)
Replace the burners and burner caps.
d)
Replace the gas label with a new gas label supplied
with the injector set.
Setting the low flame (minimum gas flow setting)
a)
Switch on a gas burner.
b)
Adjust the control knob so the flame is at its lowest point.
c)
Remove the gas control knob from the gas valve.
d)
Adjust the adjustment screw on the gas valve until the
flame is stable and burning correctly. The adjustment
screw should be loosened to increase the gas flow and
tightened to decrease the gas flow. Check that the flame
does not extinguish when the gas flow is quickly changed
from high to low and back. The correct setting should
leave the flame ~3-4mm high.
e)
Fit the gas control knob back to the gas valve and turn
off the burner.
f)
Repeat for all four burners.
FINAL POSITIONING
When installing the appliance, make sure that there is enough room around it to pull the appliance forwards
for cleaning and maintenance. The ground underneath the appliance must be hard and stable. The wall
immediately behind the appliance must be made from non-flammable material (for example ceramic tiles). If
you need to pull the appliance in order to position it, take care that the adjustable feet are fully screwed in.
Once the appliance is in place (including the anti-tilt bracket), adjust the height by turning the adjustable feet.
