4. Secure the child 

restraint.

 

Using your full weight, 
push the child restraint 
firmly into the vehicle 
seat while pulling up 
on the LATCH strap to 
tighten.

IMPORTANT:

 To properly protect the child, the child  

restraint 

MUST NOT

 move more than 25 mm (1 inch) from 

side-to-side or from front-to-back 

at the upper belt path

If you cannot tightly secure the child restraint, try again or 

move it to another location.

5. Connect and tighten tether strap.  

Connect the tether hook to the anchor behind  

the vehicle seat, as shown.

  Pull the strap and tighten the tether securely.

IMPORTANT:

 If your tether strap is too short to reach from 

your child restraint to your vehicle tether anchor, you will need 

a Tether Extender. Please call ParentLink at 1-800-233-5921 

(U.S.) or 1-937-773-3971 (Canada), or 01-800-706-12-00 

(Mexico).

Notice

Your child restraint is equipped with one of two types of 

tether adjusters: standard (shown above) or the TruTether 

(shown below). If your child restraint is equipped with the 

TruTether adjuster, refer to page 44 for information about 

proper tightening.

2. Place the child restraint in position. 

  Set child restraint on vehicle seat in 

forward-facing

 

position, as shown. Lay the tether strap over the  
back of the vehicle seat.

3. Attach Lower Anchor Hooks.

  Attach a LATCH Hook Connector onto 

each 

seat 

anchor.

IMPORTANT:

 Make sure both LATCH connectors are facing 

upward and the harness straps are not twisted.
