PRE-INSTALLATION PLANNING
Before you begin your installation you should have
the following tools and supplies:
• Saw
• Hammer
• Pliers
• Pipe wrench
• Phillips and straight-blade screwdrivers
• Plumb line and level
• Tape measure and framing square
• Electric drill and assortment of drill bits
• Safety glasses and gloves
• Framing material
• Non-combustible finish material
• Approved pipe joint sealant
• Manometer
• #6 or #8 self-tapping screws, 1/2” - 3/4” long
• Leak detection fluid (non-corrosive) or electronic
gas detector
• Appropriate electrical supply wiring parts
• Appropriate gas supply line parts
