Operation

The system freezes.

possible cause:

The system’s power saving features have timed-
out.

indicator:

The screen goes dark.

solution:

Use the AC adapter, press the 

Fn + Esc (Sus-

pend)

 key combination, or press the Power But-

ton if no LEDs are lit.

possible cause:

The system cannot access the 

Save to Disk

 parti-

tion.

indicator:

The system retrieves 

Save to Disk

 information 

very quickly during bootup and then freezes. 
This situation usually happens after one of the 
following occurs and you activate the 

Save to 

Disk

 process: 

1.

The hard disk has been changed; OR 

2.

There has been a 

CMOS

 failure or a Checksum 

failure and the problem has not been corrected. If 
one of these occurs, you must run the 

0VMAKFIL

 utility as soon as possible. (
