Safety
Basic safety precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances, including the following:
•
NEVER immerse the appliance, kettle, electrical cord or plug in water or other liquids.
•
Do NOT operate any appliance with a damaged electrical cord or plug, or if the appliance malfunctions
or has been damaged in any manner. Contact customer service.
•
NEVER use near water.
•
Do NOT use outdoors.
•
Disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply when not in use and during cleaning.
•
Do NOT use abrasive sponge, cloths, harsh detergents or chemicals to clean the appliance.
•
NEVER leave appliance unattended while in use.
•
Do NOT clean any parts of this appliance in a dishwasher.
•
Keep out of reach of children.
•
Children should be supervised while in proximity of the appliance to ensure that they do not play with it.
•
Keep the appliance door closed during operation.
•
The manufacturer does not recommend the use of accessories or attachments not supplied with the
original product.
•
Do NOT leave the kettle motor running once popping has ceased.
•
Do NOT move the appliance while it is in use or still hot.
•
Do NOT use the appliance for other than its intended use.
•
Check the kettle for presence of foreign objects prior to use.
•
Ensure the kettle is properly attached to the hanging brackets before operating and that the motor cable
is plugged into the kettle. Do NOT force the kettle in or out of the brackets as this may cause gears to
become misaligned and appliance will not operate properly.
•
The marked electrical rating of extension cords should be equal to or greater than the electrical rating of
the appliance.
•
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
•
The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of external timer or separate remote control
system
