CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING!
• Repair and servicing work that are not described in this manual should always be
carried by our service centre. Use only original parts and accessories.
Check, clean and maintain the chain saw after each use.
• Always switch off the appliance and remove the battery before doing any servicing.
Warning of the danger of rotating parts!
• Wear gloves when handling.
• Do not spray the product with water and do not immerse it in water. Electric shock
hazards.
• The following cleaning and servicing should be done regularly. This will ensure a long
and reliable service life.
Cleaning
• Keep clean the ventilation slots, motor housing and handles of the appliance. Use a
damp cloth or a brush and compressed air if necessary.
• Do not use cleaning agents or solvents. You may otherwise irreparably damage the tool.
• Always keep the appliance clean.
• Never allow liquids to get into the appliance.
• Do not spray the appliance with water and do not immerse it in water. Electric shock
hazards.
Cleaning the chain drive area
Always wear protective gloves when handling the saw chain. There is a risk of
injury from the sharp cutting teeth!
1. Place the chain saw on a level and stable surface
2. Pull the front hand guard (1) backwards to disengage the chain brake (fig.B).
3. Undo the chain tensioning knob (7) till it totally lose in the position.
4. Remove the sprocket cover (6).
5. Remove the saw chain (10) and guide bar (9) carefully.
6. Clean the chain drive area and the sprocket cover (6) with a brush or be blowing it out
with compressed air.
7. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
