Digitization of Records by using the AUDACITY-Software:
Installation on a PC:
Connect the record player with an electric outlet and connect it with USB-Port [23] to an USB-Port of a
computer.
Switch on the record player.
Usually Windows recognizes the new device automatically.
Insert the provided CD into the CD-ROM-drive.
Run the file „audacity-win-1.2.4b.exe“ for installing the Audacity-Software. Start Audacity after the
installation is done successful.
Installation of the Software on a MAC:
Insert the provided CD into the CD-ROM-drive.
Drag the Audacity-directory to your hard disk drive. It is recommended filing the Audacity-directory into
the „Applications“-directory.
A status window shows the progress of the copy process.
Remove the CD from the drive.
Start Audacity from here.
Software-Configuration:
Click „Microphone“ and choose the option „Stereo Mix“
from the pull-down-menu.
Enter the edit-menu and choose „Preferences“.
Configurate the USB-device under „Recording“
