CHARGING THE SHIELDED BATTERY
PACK
If a shielded battery pack is used to power the interface PCB and the
camera inside the camera assembly the pack will need to be charged
after about 12 hours use. Heavy use of the pan and tilt functions will
reduce the battery life.
Proceed as follows:
1. Connect the charger to a suitable mains supply (110 or 240 V ac)
outside
the screened room.
2. Connect the special charging connectors (Red and Black) to the
charger and check that the selector knob is set to 12V.
3. Disconnect the battery pack from the camera assembly and remove
the pack from the test chamber.
4. Connect the battery pack to the charger via the charging lead.
5. Switch On the main supply. Check that the red light on the charger is
lit.
6. Continue charging until the Green light is lit to indicate a full charge.
NOTE:
Do not re-connect the battery to the camera assembly until it
is required for use, as the camera and the PCB in the camera
assembly are on when the cable is connected.
