MAINTENANCE
The conveyor belt tension adjustment nuts should
be positioned so that the adjustment sleeve is free to
turn, with 1/4” to 1/2” end play. The adjustment sleeve
indicates proper adjustment spring height. Belt tension
is maintained by the spring force. No load should be
transferred through the adjustment sleeve. The belt will
be over-tensioned if the sleeve is allowed to be clamped
by the adjustment nut/washer.

Chain tension is correct when the bottom of the chain
side links are slightly lifted off of the belt when viewed
through the access door.

To adjust chain tension, loosen the jam nut on the
take-up bearing adjusting bolt located on each side of
the trailer. The same process is used to adjust the belt.
