Defrosting the appliance
Automatic refrigerator defrosting
Refrigerator does not need defrosting because the ice on the back interior wall is thawed
automatically.
Any accumulated ice will melt when the compressor unit is inactive. The droplets are collected in
a groove/gutter, drained trough a hole, and discharged into a tray in the bottom of the appliance
base.
If an excessive layer of ice is formed on the rear wall of refrigerator interior (3-5 mm), switch off
the appliance and defrost the appliance manually.
In this case, it is also advisable to empty the condensate tray on the bottom of the appliance.
• Remove the cabinet kickplate.
• Reach into the openings on the switchboard and release the latch.
• Pull the plate towards you and remove it.
• Remove the condensate tray and empty it.
