Step 3 : Assign a filter to each user

Select the menu « Security» and then « User list ».
•
Among the users select a user to which you want to assign a filter ;
and click modify ; the user window is displayed.
•
Assign a filter to the user ; click OK and save.

This menu allows to select which type of VPN will be used to protect the
link between the remote user PC and the RAS over the internet.
For usual operation, select PPTP (no parameters have to be set in that
case).

“Account” menu
The information you have to enter her are provided by the internet
provider ; see your subscription document.
Phone number
Enter the telephone number the RAS has to dial to connect to the Internet
provider.
Login and password
Enter the Login and password which the RAS will have to transmit to the
when connecting to the internet.
Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
Ex : smtp.free.fr
Account E-Mail address
Enter the mail address associated to the internet account.
