– WARNING : There is a risk of injury in case of incorrect use (not in accordance with the
manual) of the appliance.
– Only use this appliance for the purpose it was designed for, as specified in this manual.
Never use the appliance for any other purpose.
– The appliance must be installed in accordance with national regulations for installing; this
appliance is mobile, transferrable, and it is not intended for the installation into the electric
supply system.
– Place the appliance at a distance at least 1 m from devices radiating electromagnetic field
and under a window with a distance at least 60 cm from the rear and side walls.
– When displacing, don’t tilt the appliance by more than 35° nor turn over it upside-down.
And empty the condensate container before any manipulation.
– The appliance has to be installed, operated and stored in premises with the floor area
more than 4 m
2
.
– Since the appliance creates slight vacuum, don’t use it in the same room together with
a gas boiler or a gas-flow heater (or other gas appliances), which consumes (sucks)
oxygen from the room, because it could affect trouble-free function. In such cases, it
is necessary to ventilate often and check perfect state of the gas appliances and the
chimney.
– Only authorized ETA service specialists are allowed to perform service. If air-conditioner
doesn’t refrigerate, please contact the authorized service to add coolant.
– The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for any damage caused by improper handling
of the appliance and its accessories (e.g. electric shock, fire ), and the appliance guarantee
will become void if any of the aforementioned safety instructions are not observed.
USE OF THE APPLIANCE:
– Don’t use the appliance in wet environment. Don’t expose it to direct sunlight.
– Close windows and doors during operation to increase cooling effect.
– Don’t use the appliance without properly-fixed protective grates.
– Don’t use the appliance without the draining plug closed by the plug A9 (unless you want
to drain condensate by other way). Avoid undesired escape of condensate and possible
damage of the poured surface.
– The appliance must not be immersed in water or other liquids (not even partially)! If the
appliance falls in water, do not take it from the water! First disconnect the power cord plug
from the electrical socket, and then take out the appliance from the water. In such cases,
bring the appliance to a specialised service centre to verify its safety and proper operability.
– Do not place any objects on the top of the appliance.
– Don’t use the appliance in wet environment. Don’t expose it to direct sunlight.

– Don’t use the appliance without properly-fixed protective grates.
– This appliance is not intended for outdoor use.
– Only use the appliance in the working position at places with no risk of overturning and in
a sufficient distance from other objects (such as curtains, drapes , etc.), heat sources
(e.g. fireplace, heater, stove, cooker, radiators, hot air ovens, grills ) and wet surfaces
(e. g. sinks, wash basins ).
– For the purpose of stability, the appliance must be placed on a flat and hard surface.
It should not stand on a soft material.
– Make sure that no impurities get inside the appliance (e.g. dust clouds, hairs etc.).
If impurities are sucked and settle inside the appliance, clean it (see article
V. MAINTENANCE ).
