Rectifying problems
Low degree of separation - HV
power too low
The cleaning efficiency is low
because the output of the
high voltage module is too
low.
The electrode, sliding rake
and the electrode dedusting
may be heavily contaminat-
ed.
•
Check the electrode dedusting. The "striking
weight" may not be in the idle position (up) and
touching the electrode.
•
Inspect the electrode, sliding rake and striking
weight for impurities and test their movement.
HV module does not respond
The high voltage module
does not react due to a defect
or the module overheating.
•
In the event of overheating, allow the module
to cool down and troubleshoot the cause.
•
Inspect the supply line (230 V) as well as the
control cable and feedback for damage.
The drive for cleaning the pre-
cipitator is jammed.
The electrode dedusting is
difficult to move or defective.
•
Inspect the movement of the electrode
dedusting and clean if necessary.
•
Inspect the electrode dedusting drive as well
as the function of the position switch.
The precipitator de-ashing is
blocked
The precipitator ash box is
full.
Or there is an error with the
ash screw drive.
•
Remove the ash box and empty.
•
Inspect the ash screw drive as well as the
function of the position switch.
Ash screw: blocked
The precipitator ash screw is
blocked.
•
Remove the ash box and empty.
•
Inspect the ash screw drive as well as the
function of the position switch.
•
Check line to ash screw. The drive may have
been connected incorrectly.
Flushing air: differential
pressure too low
(only applies to EEP333 or
EEP500)
The flushing air fan is con-
taminated.
•
Clean the protective screen next to the
flushing air fan.
Condensate in the chimney
Due to the extended exhaust
path from the boiler to the flue
gas connection via the precip-
itator, the exhaust
temperature sinks and
condensate can form in the
chimney.
•
Check the insulation of the flue tube. The
entire flue tube must be insulated. Further
measures should be discussed with ETA
customer service.
