3 • INSTALLATION / ASSEMBLY / CONNECTION

Before installing the device, observe the following:

• Before installing the product, switch off the power supply.
• Information concerning the motion detector's range is based on an 

installation height of 3 m.

• The greater the installation height, the wider the range, but the lower 

the sensitivity.

• Movement diagonal to the detector is optimal for triggering the 

detector (a direct and head­on approach is more difficult and 
therefore the range is significantly reduced.)

• The detector should be positioned according to spatial conditions 

and requirements.

• Make sure that the detector has a clear line of sight, as infrared 

beams cannot penetrate solid objects.

The presence detector features two separate 

DIMMER light channels

.

Both 

light channels

 are synchronised 

(C1 = C2)

 in the factory settings.

Light channel C2

 can be switched on after 

light channel C1

.

 

Remember to bear this in mind when assigning lighting groups to the 
channels. We recommend that you assign the “room interior” lighting 
group to light channel C1 and the “window side” lighting group to 
channel C2. Nevertheless, it is still possible to mount the presence 
detector on the ceiling in any orientation (Fig. 2).

ESYLUX PD-C360i/24 DUODIMplus presence detectors are 
composed of a power and a sensor section. Install the power section in 
the required position 

(Fig. 3)

 and connect the presence detector as per 

the circuit diagram 

(Fig. 4)

  Master/slave connection for presence detectors: a maximum of 10 slave 

devices can be connected to the master device

As an option, settings can be performed using the DIP switch on the 
back of the sensor (see DIP switch section). This must be done before 
the device is activated. Plug the sensor section into the power section 
and gently screw in place.

4 • START-UP

Connect the power supply

• A warm-up phase of approx. 25 seconds is initiated.
 The 

red (light channel 1 = C1)

, 

green (light channel 2 = C2)

 and 

blue LEDs 

  flash alternately. During the process, the connected lighting is 
  switched on.

The detectors are preset to 

factory settings P1/remote control

 and are 

therefore immediately ready for use after the warm­up phase.
