Touch panel operation
The touch panel is in the top area of the lens body:
The touch panel distinguishes between two different types of touch:
• Short: Touch for a duration of 0.5 to 3 seconds
• Long: Touch for a duration of longer than 3 seconds
Using these two touch methods, you can switch the detector on or off, and
switch between the different operating programs.
5.1 Switching on and off and selecting a program
Switch on/off
A short touch (0.5 to 3 seconds) switches the detector on and off.
Exception: If you set the detector to operating program 3, you can
switch the detector on with a short touch, but you cannot switch
it off. For more information about the differences between the
programs, see section 6.
Program selection
A long touch (longer than 3 seconds) can be used to open and close the
program selection mode. In program selection mode, you can switch the
detector to a different program.
To select a different program:
1. Touch the touch panel for longer than three seconds (long touch).
The light blue LED flashes, first quickly and then slowly.
Then the dark blue LED flashes once.
The detector is now in program selection mode.
2. Touch the touch panel for longer than half a second, and less than
three seconds (short touch).
The detector switches to the next program, for example, from pro-
gram 3 to program 4.
