Trouble
Causes and Solutions
There is a discrepancy
between the measurement
results and actual distance
The base point may not be set to the intended location when you did not
register the base point (Reference Value Setting) at the base point that
you want to register.
The base point may have been changed to an unintended location if
Reference Value Setting (basic altitude calibration and so on) was
performed after registering the base point.
The Distance Range setting may not match the distance that you have
actually moved.
You can change the Distance Range setting in three stages. Check the
Distance Range setting.

Linear distances are displayed in units of 100 m, 1,000 m, or 10,000 m.
The measurement results may be rounded up or down depending on the
Distance Range setting.

When using the watch in a location where it is hard to receive signals
from GPS satellites, it may not be possible to measure an accurate linear
distance.
The linear distance exceeds the displayable range.
The displayable range varies depending on the Distance Range setting.

Note:
The Waypoint feature uses the compass feature. Also check for problems related to direction measurement.
