Adjust Various Settings
The items below can be adjusted for this printer:

DIP switches (communication condition, busy condition, print column, receive buffer
capacity, etc.)
❏
Memory switches (serial communication conditions, roll paper width, cover open status
handling, etc.)
❏
Roll paper width (76 mm / 69.5 mm / 59.5 mm): adjusted with the spacer and memory
switch
❏
Roll paper near-end detector position
The current settings can be confirmed by the self-test. (See page 2-2.)
Note:
When you use a serial interface model with 1200 bps, 2400 bps, or 19200 bps, you have to adjust the
“serial interface selection“ DIP switch and the “serial communication condition“ memory switch.
When you adjust these items, we recommend that you confirm whether the new setting is enabled or
disabled. Confirming by performing a self-test. (See page 2-2.)

Adjusting the DIP Switches
The printer has 2 sets of DIP switches. The function of the DIP switches is different for each
interface model.
If you need to change settings, follow the steps below to make your changes:
CAUTION:
Turn off the power while removing the DIP switch cover to prevent an electric short,
which can damage the printer.
Use a Phillips (crosshead) screwdriver to remove the screw holding the DIP switch cover.
