Error Types and Countermeasures
Follow the flowcharts on the next page based on the
ERROR
LED blinking patterns in the table
below and repair the printer. The printer does the following when an error occurs:

All operations stop

The printer goes off-line (when DIP SW 1-8 is off).

The

LED blinks.

Print head temperature is too high.

(2) Auto cutter error
There is an abnormality in the
auto cutter.
(3) Memory or gate
array read/write
error
Read/write check has failed.
(4) High-voltage error
Power supply voltage is too high.
(5) Low-voltage error
Power supply voltage is too low.
(6) CPU execution
error
CPU is trying to execute an invalid
address.
(7) Thermistor error
There is an abnormality in detecting
the print head temperature or the print
head rank can not be read correctly.

( 1) This error can occur for a short time during normal printing, when the print head reaches a high temperature. No repair
is necessary in this case.

Home position

Home position cannot be detected
due to a paper jam or other problem.
Auto-cutter error
Print head temperature is out of
normal operating range.
