Chapter 1 Product Overview
Feed Button
•
Press this button once to feed the roll paper for one line. Hold down this button to continue feeding the roll
paper.
•
When the Paper Layout Setting is Receipt paper (with black mark), the paper is fed to the print start position.
LED
Power LED (Blue)
•
Stays on while the printer is on.
•
Stays off while the printer is off.
•
Flashes when the printer is in the following conditions.
•
Power-off standby process is in progress or power-off process is in progress
•
Updating the firmware
•
Starting up the network, or link-down
•
Resetting the printer or the communication settings is in progress
•
Network warning error
Error LED (Orange)
•
Lights or flashes when an error occurs. For information about the flashing patterns, see "Status and Errors"
on page 27 .
•
Lights after the power is turned on or after a reset (offline). Automatically goes out after a while to indicate
that the printer is ready.
•
Off when the printer is in standard mode (online).
•
Lights up when the battery level is at the E level or when there is no battery remaining. See "Operation Mode
When Battery is Low" on page 25 for information about the battery level.
The function of the paper feed button can be disabled (inoperative). Refer to the ESC/POS
Command Reference for more details.
If a charged battery is not installed in the printer, the printer will not operate and the LED will not
light.
