The Seventh Colour -
Light Black
The EPSON STYLUS™ PRO 7600 & 9600 are
both equipped with a new ink colour - light
black. This colour greatly improves the printers
grey balance, reduces graininess and increases
detailed gradations, especially in the low to
medium density areas.
When light black, which is one third (
1
/
3
) the
density of normal black ink, is used in place of
cyan, magenta, and black dots, it becomes
possible to obtain superb subtle gradations and
reduce graininess to a point where there are no
signs of inkjet technology.
This improved way of producing colour and
black & white printing, allows for a truly neutral
greyscale image with no colour “cross over”
effects, as well as producing warm or cold
greyscale prints using all seven colours.
